Let's celebrate the diversity within our running community and make strides together!
Join us for a special event dedicated to celebrating inclusivity and promoting unity among runners of all backgrounds, levels, and abilities. This event is designed to foster a sense of community and support while embracing the joy of running.
Date and Time: Saturday, September 21st, 2024
Event Start Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Rosemont Community Center, Calgary
Cost: $30 (all proceeds to go Bigger Than The Trail)
Event Activities:

Registration and Mingle: Upon arrival, participants will sign in and receive information along with a wristband for grouping purposes.
Inclusive Warm-up Activity: Participants will pair up with someone they don't know for a joint warm-up session, fostering connections and camaraderie.
Unity Relay: Teams of varied abilities will participate in a relay, emphasizing unity and teamwork.
Guest speakers: Engage in an open dialogue highlighting the significance of community belonging, mental health awareness, and more impactful topics.
Raffle Ticket Prize Giveaway: Each participant will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes throughout the event.
Cheer Stations: Stations will be set up for spectators, friends & family to cheer on participants, spreading positivity and encouragement.
Unity Wall: During the event, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and connections on the Unity Wall.

Bigger Than The Trail is an organization that is using trail running as a platform to advocate for mental health.
We come alongside individuals, providing educational support and treatment options. Please don't think our mission is limited to just people who run. This is much bigger than that. Running is not the focus; but rather the people we can impact. Our focus is to bring light to the real struggles and challenges that are associated with mental health.
