Moose Mountain Trail Races (MMTR) is an awe-inspiring trail race event held in the Kananaskis Country park system, Alberta, and hosted by Lewiston Ultra Events. Offering solo races across 16KM, 29KM, 42KM & 50KM, the event takes participants on a journey through the scenic trails within the Traditional Territory of the Stoney-Nakoda, Siksika, Blood & Kootenai First Nations.
As runners traverse the course, they are privileged to experience the preservation and beauty of these sacred lands. The trails of MMTR are a testament to the rich heritage and natural wonders of the region.

We've designed two specialized beginner trail running programs tailored explicitly for those gearing up for the challenging 16km and 29km events at the Moose Mountain Trail Race. 12 week 16km Training Program
Are you new to trail running and looking to take on your first race? Our 12-week beginner trail running program is the perfect starting point for anyone gearing up for the 16km Moose Mountain Trail Race. For just $10, this program offers step-by-step guidance to help you build endurance, strength, and the mental fortitude necessary to conquer 16 kilometers of stunning trail.
In this program, you’ll be introduced to the basics of trail running, including pacing, technique, and the importance of fueling and hydration.
